The Construction of a Moomba boat:

Each steel reinforced mold is meticulously prepped, detailed and waxed before gel is applied.

All composite gel coats are applied to a thickness of 20-22 mils. After the Gel coat is applied, a vinyl-ester barrier coat is sprayed to prevent blistering.

All fiberglass is pre-cut to exacting size to ensure a consistent lamination schedule.

All of the fiberglass is completely hand-laid for consistency, ensuring superb strength and durability.

After the skin-coat, a ceramic barrier coat is applied to prevent any print through in the gel coat.

The bulking coats of glass are applied utilizing bi-axial and quad-axial fiber-glass for incredible strength to weight ratio.

After curing in the mold for 48 hours, the part is pulled. The lengthy cure time ensures a superior finish surface.

Utilizing jigs and fixtures, the glass parts are precisely drilled and cut for consistent upholstery and hardware installation.

Using G&T vinyls exclusively makes the upholstery durable and highly resistent to puncture.

UV and stain resistent Syntec carpet is installed.

All Indmar Marine Engines are bolted through the stringers and aligned with extremely tight tolerance for optimum performance.

Utilizing a "shoebox" fit the deck is fastened to the hull using a HDPE (high Density Polyethylene) backing.

An inspection of high-risk items is performed on every boat. The entire
fuel , electrical, and steering systems are checked thoroughly.

Each boat is put through a rigorous
set of lake tests prior to being shipped.

A second quality check is performed on every boat by a Skier's Choice manager before the boat is shipped.
